Partner Terms

These terms govern the Carvikon referral program (“the Program”), in which a person or business (“Partner”) introduces auto shops to Carvikon and earns a commission on what those shops pay. Joining is free and by invitation after an application; we may accept or decline an application for any reason.

You join by emailing hi@carvikon.com. If we accept you, we email your private partner page, where you read these terms and accept them by typing your name and ticking the box. We keep the version, your name, the time and your network address as the record. These terms apply, and commission starts to count, from the moment you accept. If we agree different terms with you in writing, those apply to you and take precedence over any rate or period below.

For each shop credited to you (see “Credit for a shop”) we pay you a percentage of every successful payment that shop makes to Carvikon for its subscription, extra shops and add-ons:

• 20% of each payment made within 12 months of the shop’s first payment that counts.
• 10% of each payment after that, for as long as the shop keeps paying and these terms are in force.

A payment is counted at the amount the shop paid, not at list price. A shop that pays for a year at once makes one payment, and its commission is worked out once on that payment. A shop that pays nothing earns you nothing.

Rates apply to payments from the date of any change and never reduce commission already earned. Commission is only ever paid on payments Carvikon actually receives.

A shop is credited to you in one of three ways, checked in this order:

1. Your link. The shop signs up after opening your personal link. We remember the link for 90 days in the visitor’s browser. If the visitor has declined tracking, there is nothing to remember, and the shop is not credited by link (we can credit it by hand under the third way). The first partner whose link a visitor opens keeps the credit; a later link does not replace it.
2. You register the shop. You give us the shop’s name and contact details. If a shop signs up with that email or phone number within 90 days, it is credited to you. The first partner to register a shop holds it for those 90 days.
3. We credit it by hand when you can show that you brought the shop and the first two missed it.

A shop is not eligible, and we may decline a registration, if it was already a customer of Carvikon, was already in conversation with our sales team before you registered it, already has another partner, is your own shop or one you own or manage, or is an internal or test account. Each shop is credited to one partner.

Every new shop has a 30-day money-back guarantee (see our Refund Policy). The commission on each payment is therefore held for 30 days after the payment before it becomes payable to you.

If a payment that earned you commission is refunded, or a card dispute on it is lost, the commission on the refunded amount is taken back, immediately, and comes off your next payout. We may also correct a commission recorded in error, with a written explanation.

We pay once a month, and each payout is everything that is past its hold and not yet paid, by a method we agree with you (such as ACH, Zelle or check). We record each payout with its date and method.

You can see every credited shop, its payments, what each earned, what is held and what has been paid on your private partner page, which we give you as a link. Keep it private: anyone with the link can read your figures. Tell us if it is shared by mistake and we will replace it.

You are responsible for your own taxes. We cannot send a first payout until we have a completed IRS Form W-9 from you, which you upload on your partner page. It goes to a private store and is used only to pay you and to meet our own reporting obligations.

You are an independent party, not our employee, agent or partner in a legal sense, and you cannot sign anything or make promises on our behalf. When you talk about Carvikon:

• Be honest. Do not make claims about the product, its price, its results or the Program that we have not published. Say what the shop will actually pay and that the 30-day guarantee is described in our Refund Policy.
• Do not promise earnings. The tables on the Program page are illustrations. Say so when you quote them.
• Follow the law that applies to you, including laws on advertising, endorsements (disclose that you are paid for referrals), email, calls and text messages. Do not send unsolicited bulk email or texts, and do not call numbers on a do-not-call list.
• Do not bid on our brand name in paid search, pose as Carvikon, or register look-alike domains or accounts.
• Do not offer a shop money or gifts to sign up, and do not refer yourself or arrange for others to sign up in your name to earn commission.

We may withhold or reverse commission earned through a breach of this section, and end your participation immediately.

Either of us may end the Program arrangement at any time with 30 days’ written notice (an email is enough). We may pause new credits while we review something.

When it ends: shops already credited to you keep earning you the first-year 20% until their 12 months run out. The 10% after that stops on the end date. Commission already earned is paid when its hold ends. If we end it because of a breach of these terms, the conduct section above applies instead.

We may change these terms by posting a new version here and emailing you. A change applies to payments from 30 days after we tell you, unless you end the arrangement first, and it never reduces commission already earned.

Nothing here creates a partnership, joint venture, employment or franchise. We do not guarantee that any shop will sign up or stay, that Carvikon will be available at any particular time, or that you will earn any amount. Our total liability to you under the Program is limited to commission owed to you and not yet paid, to the extent the law allows.

Shops you refer are Carvikon customers under our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and we decide how we serve, price and support them. We will not share a shop’s contact details with you, and the page you see shows only the shop’s name, status and what it earned you. You may not use information about a referred shop for any other purpose.
